Planned Giving and Endowments

The Star of David Society

The Star of David Society of the Jewish Federation system is an elite national recognition program that honors outstanding philanthropists through special events and publications.

A Perpetual Annual Campaign Endowment (PACE) or Lion of Judah Endowment (LOJE) contribution of $200,000 or other permanent endowment of $500,000 or more secures your participation in The Star of David Society. You can provide unrestricted funds to help meet future community needs or provide permanent resources to aid identified programs, projects, agencies, organizations, or initiatives that are of particular interest to you and your family.

Join these exemplary donors whose commitment to the Jewish community extends beyond the present.

You can find the current issue of The Star of David Society e-Newsletter here.

Heritage Society

The Heritage Society pays tribute to individuals that have included The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) in their wills or in other legacy gifts. These gifts not only help to ensure that the lifesaving work of JFNA continues far beyond a donor's lifetime, but they also inspire others to give generously to nurture and sustain the Jewish community at home, in Israel and around the world.

If you have provided for a legacy gift to JFNA, we would like to show our appreciation and recognize you during your lifetime. Please let us know if you have:
  • Left a bequest to JFNA in your will
  • Designated JFNA as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy
  • Designated JFNA as a beneficiary of your retirement assets
  • Named JFNA as a charitable beneficiary of a trust

Other documented gifts may qualify you as a member of the Heritage Society. For more information about our Heritage Society and how you may become a member, please contact us.

Annual Campaign

Leadership Roundtable

Donors whose Annual Campaign gifts to their local Federations total $1 million or more come together at the Leadership Roundtable to examine significant issues, develop relationships and work with each other to strengthen Israel and Jewish communities. The Leadership Roundtable is a significant new initiative that includes a slate of opportunities developed exclusively for some of the Jewish world's most powerful voices. As a member of this group, you will address the Federation movement's most pressing issues with other critical stakeholders whose philanthropy has demonstrated a deep commitment to local, national and global projects in the Jewish community. To learn more, contact Beverly Woznica.

International Leadership Reunion

The International Leadership Reunion (ILR) is an international gathering sponsored jointly by The Jewish Federations of North America and Keren Hayesod (world-wide Jewry excluding the USA) for major philanthropic leaders who contribute a minimum of $250,000 to the Annual Campaign in their local communities and who share a deep interest in supporting Israel and Jewish communities around the world. Donors who attend ILR represent world Jewry from North and South America, Australia, Europe, Israel and South Africa.

If you qualify as a member, the ILR gives you and your adult children a unique opportunity to spend three stimulating days in the company of friends, old and new, from all around the world. The ILR program always promises to be exciting and informative, offering you the highest caliber of speakers, tours and events. Whenever the ILR meets, the event is held in a different city. To learn more, contact Beverly Woznica.
