Bequests

Bequests
Naomi and Chaim have been faithful supporters of their community's Jewish Federation. They believe it is important to support and encourage the Federation's mission.

Chaim: Several years ago, Naomi and I decided to become part of Federation's mission. We believe that Federation is truly helping to nurture and sustain the fabric of Jewish life for us and for future generations. It is important to us to partner with them to make a difference. For that reason, Naomi and I have made gifts to our Federation over the years to help others.

Naomi: We wanted to do more than just to make gifts. Chaim and I have been careful over the years and have accumulated some resources. We plan to be generous with family, but we also have the ability to be generous with our tzedakah.

After talking it over, we decided to leave a testamentary gift. Our attorney took the simple language available from the Federation and included a nice bequest in our will. We are delighted that we will be helping others through the Federation.

You also may want to include a bequest in your will. Contact your local Jewish Federation or Jewish Community Foundation for bequest language. To find your local Federation, you may search via our Federation Finder. If you live within the Network of Independent Communities and are considering a bequest to The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), you can review sample bequest language here. You might find it helpful to select the "print" button at the top of the screen and give a copy to your attorney. He or she can contact us with any questions.
